Description Peter Sääf 2007-06-18 17:41:56 UTC
Nautilus templates (right-click => create document) is broken with gtk+ 2.11.2 and later. It simply fails to create a new file.
No error message from nautilus to stdout.
Comment 1 Peter Sääf 2007-06-18 18:04:21 UTC
Correction.
It does work some of the times. Seems to be a race condition or some kind of loss of focus.
I have a similar problem with system-monitor loosing focus of a selected process while I try to kill it.

in order for this bug report to be useful for the Gtk+ project, please provide a minimum Gtk+ test case that exposes what needs to be fixed in Gtk+, or file this bug against the nautilus product.
Comment 3 Peter Sääf 2007-06-19 15:21:06 UTC
I was hoping it was easily reproducible but if it works for you I suppose it could be just me.
The reason for my blaming gtk+ is that downgrading Nautilus does not help while downgrading gtk+ to 2.11.1 or lower does.
I'll see if I can reproduce on other machines.
Comment 4 Peter Sääf 2007-07-26 22:29:35 UTC
I'm having trouble isolating this bug so I may have been wrong in blaming gtk+
Resolving this as a dupe of bug 449371 (nautilus)
