GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 443086
Invoice text appears upside down
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:38:12 UTC
Please describe the problem: When I print an invoice, all of the text is printed upside down. This happens if I print to a physical printer or to PrimoPDF. If I use the "Create a PDF Document" print option in the list of printers, the text comes out okay. It seems that all of the printer options that use "Location: win32" are having this issue. Steps to reproduce: 1. Click File > Print Invoice 2. Click File > Print Report 3. Select one of my win32 printers and Click "Print" Actual results: I get an invoice with all text upside down. The text is in the right position on the page, just inverted. Expected results: I would expect an invoice with the text right side up... Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: I could send a PDF from PrimoPDF that has inverted text and a PDF from the built-in PDF generator that has the text displayed correctly if you would like to see examples. Seems to be a duplicate of bug 316531. A workaround is to disable advanced features of your printer (there is a checkbox to do that). In the long run, whenever GtkPrint@Win32 has improved (does not print black boxes), we will switch our underlying printing library from gnome-print to that. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 316531 ***
