GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 442160
needed a button "jump to current song" in the toolbar
Last modified: 2018-05-24 12:36:40 UTC
like in itunes, it may improve the program usability if "jump to current song" is not only in the menu, but also in the toolbar, maybe near the catalog button Other information:
Voting for this as well. I'd suggest that instead of having another button in the toolbar, the text displaying the current song, artist and album should be clickable.

the thing is that the time I take to go with my mouse from the song list until the text displaying current song is almost the time I take to do this from the menu. A really useful feature is having this on the mouse 2nd click -> jump to playing song. I found it very useful and is how I work in other players also. I think that is quite a common feature to have in the popup menu.
I've updated the plugin significantly, including Dan's work. (Thanks Dan!) Details here: http://www.stevenbrown.ca/blog/archives/254

Just wanted to bump this. The menu has been removed in the current version (2.99.1) including the "Jump to playing song" item and its keyboard shortcut (CTRL+j). So a toolbar button would be really useful.
