"Since gnome-panel 2.18 the menu icons size is set to 22x22 to default. It's good for the compatibility between desktop, but I find it a little too small; 24x24 was better for me. It can be interesting if we can choose the size of these icons, like for the drawer.

It's already to change this in a theme: put this in gtkrc:

gtk-icon-sizes = "panel-menu=24,24"
