Environment: Windows XP SP 2, latest security updates as of May 16 2007.

GIMP Version 2.2.14, installed using gimp-2.2.14-i586-setup-1.exe

When navigating away from the New File dialog, GIMP crashes with an error of
"The instruction at 0x1004117d" referenced memory at "0x00000000".  The memory could not be "read".

Steps to reproduce:
1.  Run GIMP
2.  Go to the New File dialog (either via menu->File->New or Ctrl+N)
3.  Exit the dialog in any way possible:
  A.  Click "Cancel" button
  B.  Click "OK" button
  C.  Click the Window Close [X] button
  D.  hit ALT-F4
4.  Error pops up

Please have a look at bug #438153 and answer the questions asked therein. This is most likely a duplicate.

This is a duplicate.  My BugSearch-Fu is weak today.

I had GTK 2.6 and 2.10 installed.  Removing 2.6 fixed the issue.
