GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 43267
Not able to drag icons from the panel to the desktop
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
In GMC, if you drag an icon from the panel to the desktop, a new launcher is created. If you try do this in Nautilus, you find out you can't. In order to duplicate all the functionality of GMC, we need to, 1) Read the .desktop file, convert it to a symlink and add the appropriate pixmap information to the desktop .nautilus-metafile.xml file, or 2) Create a NautilusLink from the .desktop and re-allow renaming of NautilusLinks. ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-09-25 11:04:37 ---- *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 42212 *** ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2000-10-16 19:40:29 ---- Batch-assigning QA ownership of remaining bugs to eli@eazel.com ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-02-09 11:28:08 ---- Duane is now the proud owner for Desktop QA. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:40 ------- The original reporter (linuxfan@ionet.net) of this bug does not have an account here.
