GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 432224
new layer dialog: no way to quickly confirm it
Last modified: 2008-01-15 13:26:13 UTC
This may seem like a small thing, but I find it very annoying. When I create a new layer with Ctrl+Shift+N it brings up the New Layer dialog. 99 times out of 100 I use the same settings for every new layer, so I don't want to mess with this dialog at all, I want to hit Enter and get rid of it. But I can't. So I can use a keyboard shortcut to bring it up, but I have to use the mouse to make it go away. This is very annoying.
This is already fixed in the development branch and will be in 2.4 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 148026 ***
IIRC, you can Shift-Click in 2.2 already to skip the dialog.
