GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 428620
custom icon for sent/drafts/trash in mail folder tree
Last modified: 2009-06-04 17:22:16 UTC
I am having all mail on an imap server and also the sent/drafts/trash special folders there. However as the folder tree is sorted alphabetically they appear randomly between the other mail folders. It would be much better if they appeared at the top or bottom AND are marked with the respective icons as is done for the local sent/drafts/trash special folders in the on this computer subtree... Other information:
Doesn't at least Trash have its special icon in the IMAP tree? (Just as Inbox and Junk, but you didn't mention those.)
By the way Drafts doesn't have a special icon, does it (or do these thing differ through some theming mechanism)?
Well even worse, there is no option to put the trash folder on an imap server! So I guess it is some virtual local folder (like junk which btw also cannot be on the imap server even though I would want it to be!). So if this is properly fixed it should give users an option to put thrash, junk, sent, drafts on an imap-server and put these folder at the top or bottom and mark them with a special icon (as btw other mailers like thunderbird, squirrelmail do it).
(In reply to comment #3) > there is no option to put the trash folder on an imap server! > junk which btw also cannot be on the imap server. That would be bug #206061. > put these folder at the top or bottom Just for completeness, current sorting order is: - Inbox at top; - followed by other folders (special and regular) alphabetically (differs for each locale). Might be better of as a separate bug (haven't checked for duplicate). > mark them with a special icon So this bug could focus on changing the icon for the IMAP folder designed to hold Sent messages. In the future it might also include Drafts, Junk and Trash folders.
Merging as requested by Paul in the other bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 362907 ***
