Description VF 2007-04-08 15:14:59 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Firefox 2.0 comes with a search engine manager, and also a lot of silly search engines like yahoo and ebay. Using the manager to remove the search engines hides them from the Firefox UI but Deskbar still shows them.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Firefox 2.0
2. Select 'manage search engines'
3. Remove ebay
4. Type something into deskbar

Actual results:
Ebay is displayed along with all the other search engines

Expected results:
Ebay shouldn't be displayed

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Some more information:
Setting show_only_primary_search in /apps/deskbar/mozilla in gconf-editor is also ignored - all search engines are shown.
This seems to be because in mozilla.py,
browser.search.selectedEngine is the line checked in prefs.js - this line is absent in my prefs.js for firefox 2.0.0.3.
The only line related to browser.search in prefs.js currently is:
user_pref("browser.search.useDBForOrder", true);

Also, the list of search engines and their current status is in search.sqlite in the firefox profile directory.
