GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 424818
make the "Re: " email subject text translatable
Last modified: 2007-12-26 07:51:17 UTC
The "Re: " text string added in an e-mail's subject line when replying, is not translatable for other languages. In Sweden, "SV: " is shown here, and not being able to translate this makes the application look English. Other information:
using something else than "Re: " makes every other email application to not duplicate "Re: " headers, so a good email discussion will look like this after a few emails: "Re: SV: Re: SV: Re: SV: subject"
Feel free to also comment on bug 417470.
also, "Re:" is not short for "Reply", so this doesn't even make sense to do.
Sorry, MS Outlook tricked me here. Now know that Re does not mean Reply. Thanks Jeffrey and Andre!
