Description Alex Lancaster 2007-03-20 11:01:56 UTC
As noted on this mailing list post:

http://mail.gnome.org/archives/rhythmbox-devel/2007-March/msg00045.html

the browser type "Genre, Artist & Album" or "Artist & Album" is set globally, and can't be varied per source. Sources should be able set the type independently as in iTunes.

Also, the state be restored for each source on restart which is currently only true for the Library, Podcast and Internet Radio source.

Fwiw, if source state is stored/restored per source type, it would be nice to make it overridable by sources since in the ipod case for example, we might want to use the layout information stored by itunes in the ipod database.

That would be very important in the case of the mtp plugin as well. One should be able to use the browser view by default, or at least the setting should be remembered.
