Description Jef Driesen 2007-03-04 19:07:59 UTC
gthumb (latest from svn) does not import any photos anymore. Thumbnails are downloaded from the camera as usual, but as soon as I click import, the progress bar appears and the text area above says "Downloading 'filename' from folder 'folder'...". But nothing happens (except the target directory is created) and I have to abort with the cancel button.

The last revision without problems is 1327. Later versions will crash (fixed in revision 1372). By backporting that fix to earlier versions, I found the problem is introduced in revision 1347.

The strange thing is this happens only on my desktop. On my laptop, import works just fine.

Jef,

Thanks for the detailed report; that's very helpful! Paolo checked in some URI-escaping changes in 1347, and they seem to be broken.

As a workaround, use a folder name with no characters that require escaping (spaces, commands, accented characters, etc). It works then.

Fixed in svn rev 1453. Should appear in 2.9.4.
