This bug happens to me too.
As far as I can tell, if I search for anything starting at the root directory (/), gnome-commander will crash (exit).  I am running fedora core 6 on an amd x2 processor.

This is for gnome-commander 1.2.3.  This bug is pretty serious I'd say.
