I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but it looks like some build/install issues. Your first comment indicates that several build dependencies weren't met. You should try to download and install them before attempting to build seahorse again. Also, your stacktrace indicates that types installed in a private library, SeahorseOperation, haven't been defined/substantiated. I think a fresh download and build with all of the dependencies present might fix what ails you.

Could you provide a key ID for the D Zimmerman in question? My search of key servers turned up 20-30 different keys.
The key owner in question is Philip R. Zimmerman, I had to recall from memory because Seahorse had crashed, sorry for the mistake. I have three keys belonging to him on my list: 1 Philip R. Zimmerman FAEBC5FC prz@pgp.com no subkey 2 Philip R. Zimmerman FAEBC5FC prz@acm.org one subkey Philip R. Zimmerman prz@pgp.com 3 Philip R. Zimmerman B2D7795E prz@mit.edu two subkeys Philip R. Zimmerman prz@acm.org and Philip R. Zimmerman prz@philzimmerman.com. As far as I can recall I used #3 but I am not sure. In reference to your earlier comment about a private library, SeahorseOperation, I was not able to sort that out, I did not find out what file name that library had. Non the less I have done a complete removal of both source and binary followed by a fresh seahorse dependency build and a source download and build.
If I run: gdb Seahorse will it then be easier to retrace my steps leading up to a crash?
Does this still occur with seahorse version 1.0?
I have upgraded to ver 0.9.10-2 (deb) the latest available to me. This version although it does not crash when working with key properties it becomes very slow and there is a gpg process which consumes nearly all cpu resources. I will test ver 1.0 when I can. Regards Arnfinn
From what I can see this bug is related to #406139: Viewing key properties locks up seahorse. I did also mention the problem described in #395814: Ridiculously slow on simple operations
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 406139 ***
(In reply to comment #10) > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 406139 *** > This is not correct and I'm reopening this report. My intention was to assign it to #406139 Viewing key properties locks up seahorse. Some time ago looked this up and found it as described. The reason for bug number mix up must be reassignment or loss of bug at relocation from seahorse.sourceforge.net to bugzilla.gnome.org. I can't find the bug today.
I think you're mixing bugzilla ticket numbers because some of what you referenced above aren't seahorse appropriate bugs. I'm closing this as a dupe of bug #366798 - slowness on key properties trust tab, as that is the behavior described in comment #8. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 366798 ***
