This is a tracking bug for mozilla bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371941.  The problem is that setCaretPosition doesn't seem to be reliable in Firefox when attempting to position the caret at the beginning of a line of text in a paragraph.  It ends up at the end instead.

Fixed in Mozilla trunk as of (at least) today.
