GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 408918
Epiphany crash when opening an svg image
Last modified: 2008-03-13 13:54:48 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. Open http://doc.ubuntu.com/~marketing/spreadubuntu/DIY%20Material/Batch%201,%20Posters/poster%20with%20text%20(inkscape).svg 2. 3. Stack trace: http://librarian.launchpad.net/6450694/gdb-epiphany-main.txt Other information:
Definitely a gecko problem. Even using --sync and breaking on gdk_x_error, I cannot get a trace; the crash is caused by the X server closing the connection (IO fatal error 104). Should be filed
chpe: I'd like to file it @bmo but it seems I'm unable to get a good backtrace with gdb ("No stack"). Any advice?
Created attachment 88394 [details] gdb trace epiphany-browser 2.18.1-0ubuntu1 Don't know if it can help
same behaviour here, on epiphany 2.14.3
And firefox itself doesn't crash. How annoying.\ Filed as https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381272
Thanks Reinout for sending it to Mozilla Bugzilla. BTW is it normal that it is still Unconfirmed ?
Confirming this bug, however that won't speed up the bug fixing process anything.
Fixed using epiphany-browser 2.22.0-0ubuntu2 on Ubuntu Hardy.
