Description David Berg 2007-02-15 19:06:33 UTC
I renamed a directory from "surname, first" to "first name surname" and rhythmbox reported the files it contained as missing.

What a people's thoughts on keeping track of inodes instead of filenames so that moving files around doesn't cause rhythmbox to loose track of them?

This is a known problem, and there is an open bug on it: bug #123345. Although the bug title is about moving files within rhythmbox it should also handle moves done outside rhythmbox.
