Description Wouter Van Hemel 2007-02-10 18:42:47 UTC
Hello,

I would like to add geo location information to pictures (long/lat [0.0000,0.0000]). Right now I add them by simply adding them manually to the end of the 'place' field, but it would be handy if there was a separate XML field so I can export them more easily.

Would adding some geo related fields or functions be interesting for gthumb in the future?

Thanks for your time,

  Wouter

Wouter,

version 2.9.1 can display Exif GPS tags. It doesn't edit them, but you might find the display function useful.

Longer term, I hope to add read/write support for all sorts of tags, including geo tags. This is being planned in bug 409050.
