GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 403946
transform an e-mail into a calender item
Last modified: 2009-12-31 05:03:45 UTC
That bug has been described on https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/70036 "Binary package hint: evolution Dear developers, while it is possible to transform an e-mail into a task it is unfortunatelly not possible to transform an e-mail into a calender item. Why? Many people send dates without using ICAL attachments. For such situations it would be convenient to have an easy way to transform such e-mails to calender items in a semi-automated manner (times etc. have naturally to be adjusted manually, however the e-mail content + attachments should be transfered automatically). Thank you and best regards, Dominik"
what about the mail-to-meeting plugin ? Is it enabled on Ubuntu ?
Unfortunatelly this is still an issue with Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon Beta :-(
Bumping version to a stable release.
Could you please try in current stable 2.28.x and report back. Evolution has create an event option on right click pop up.
Please feel free to reopen the bug if the feature doesn't work as you expect it with a newer version of GNOME 2.28.2 or later, thanks.
