Description n0dalus 2007-02-01 12:57:24 UTC
A common use of having two screens is to have one reserved for a projector, so that presentations and things can be run on it. In this situation, you want to keep the (usually second) screen free of any windows.

Metacity currently sets the default screen in applications so that a window will try to use any blank space available. While this is desirable in some cases, when you want the second screen to stay cleared this is not helpful. It would be great if there was an option to make metacity always set the first screen to be default, even if there are other screens available.
