GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 398360
F-Spot Manual does not make use of gnome-doc-utils
Last modified: 2007-01-23 20:51:59 UTC
Documentation Section: F-Spot Manual does still use the old XML based documentation format. The new gnome-doc-utils format is preferred nowadays. Correct version: Other information:
See http://live.gnome.org/GnomeDocUtilsMigration and http://live.gnome.org/GnomeDocUtilsMigrationHowTo for details on how to do it.
mmm, look quite similar to what we use now, using omf.make instead of g-d-u.make. at least from a build system point of view. does this g-d-u tool change the xml doc ? or is it only a change in the buildsystem ?
It requires minimal changes to XML since it extracts data for OMF from the it. It also allows easier and automated translation of documentation, and the docs will then show up at http://l10n.gnome.org/module/f-spot (eg. check http://l10n.gnome.org/module/gedit for a module which already has the g-d-u enabled docs). See step 4 of the MigrationHowTo mentioned above to see what elements you need to add. It basically allows translation of documentation using PO files, which is what translators are used to in translating the UI anyway.
fixed in r2847. Daniel, can you update your sv translation and work as a betatester for this ?
It works great! Thank you. I have removed the old Swedish files now.
