Description Jan Arne Petersen 2007-01-11 15:11:13 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #173035 +++

With 2.17.5 it is possible to select a default mixer device and tracks in the sounds capplet. The applet should use these settings by default.
Comment 1 Ronald Bultje 2007-01-11 16:45:57 UTC
Got a patch? :).

Don't forget I want to keep the option to select a different channel, some people may want two mixers, one for the default channel and one for the microphone, for example. Default should of course be the preference in the control center capplet.

This should be fixed in Gnome 2.28 through using Pulseaudio.

Could somebody close this report? It should be fixed since quite some time.
Comment 5 Martin Pitt 2010-03-16 13:48:06 UTC
Indeed, sounds obsolete now and the pulse mixer works quite fine.
