Which error?

Which application are you using?
Why did you file this bug against GStreamer?
GStreamer does support dvd playback to some extent, but not DVD menu navigation. In totem, you should be able to play DVDs by opening a dvd://1 URI via the menu (where '1' is the DVD title number).

hello Tim,

this is the actual error i get when i try to play a dvd.

i am using ubuntu 6.06 the drapper drake 2006 release

Totem could not play 'dvd:///media/cdrom0'.

Internal GStreamer error: negotiation problem. Please file a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=GStreamer .

I see. Thanks for the bug report, but it applies to a somewhat out-of-date version of ubuntu/totem/GStreamer. The current ubuntu stable release is '6.10 Edgy'. Please try that version and let us know if you still have problems with that. Thanks!
