This issue is very far reaching for the US. All of our daylight savings time changed in 2007. Currently it's still using April 1st 2007 when it should be March 11th 2007. Here is the fix for New York. The other US Cities will be similar. oa3:/opt/gnome/share/evolution-data-server-1.6/zoneinfo/America # diff -u /home/drichard/New_York.ics New_York.ics --- /home/drichard/New_York.ics 2007-01-08 09:35:16.000000000 -0500 +++ New_York.ics 2007-01-08 09:38:32.000000000 -0500 @@ -9,14 +9,14 @@ TZOFFSETTO:-0500 TZNAME:EST DTSTART:19701025T020000 -RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=10;BYDAY=-1SU +RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=11;BYDAY=1SU END:STANDARD BEGIN:DAYLIGHT TZOFFSETFROM:-0500 TZOFFSETTO:-0400 TZNAME:EDT DTSTART:19700405T020000 -RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=4;BYDAY=1SU +RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;BYMONTH=3;BYDAY=2SU END:DAYLIGHT END:VTIMEZONE END:VCALENDAR
Ubuntu bug about that: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution-data-server/+bug/79323 "Binary package hint: evolution-data-server-common From Bug #72125: Daylight Saving changes in Western Australia Western Australia is going to be starting a trial of Daylight Saving on December 3, 2006 until March 31, 2007, moving us from UTC+8 to UTC+9 over that time period. This has been fixed in dapper and edgy in the tzdata package (approved for update to respective updates as at 15/01/07) but the evolution ICS file remains unchanged. The file that (I believe) requires fixing is: /usr/share/evolution-data-server-1.8/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth.ics ... http://librarian.launchpad.net/5745345/Perth.ics Updated zoneinfo file for Australia/Perth for daylight savings. BTW, I've updated my local copy of the file /usr/share/evolution-data-server-1.8/zoneinfo/Australia/Perth.ics as per attachement. I think this is correct (and appears to work), but should be checked. Cheers, Daniel."
