Description Jonathan Blandford 2006-12-24 19:47:42 UTC
It would pretty slick to use OCR in evince to do text selection of the backends that don't support it (such as the tiff/image backends.) We wouldn't be able to rerender the glyphs for the selection, but we could extract the text.
Comment 1 Philip Ganchev 2007-08-27 22:25:48 UTC
That would also allow text search in PS documents and images.
Comment 2 Étienne Bersac 2010-03-21 18:29:56 UTC
Hi,

That should be possible to print "invisible" glyph allowing to search and select the picture. I saw such feature at http://www.archimaine.fr/archimaine/index.php
