GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 387047
Error in forwarding a mail which has attachment
Last modified: 2010-11-04 05:06:17 UTC
when i forwarded a mail(forward message with attach property) with two attachment in which one is image and other one is text file so i got only both attachment in forwarded mail. But when i sent it forward message with inline property, i got only image in forwarded mail. But when i tried same scenario with dot odt file i was getting this file in both forwarded mails. With VCS/ICS calendar attachment, inline is not working.
Akhil, please NEVER confirm your own bug reports (the status field indicates the general status of a bug, e.g. if it has been triaged). could be a duplicate, have you searched for this one? "With VCS/ICS": what does inline mean here? *what* does not work? is the itip formatter plugin enabled at all? how did you send that message, by drag&drop? by using the context menu in the calendar? generally, please be more specific when filing bug reports. thanks. :-)
First of all itip formatter was enabled. Now i am explaining my bug : (1)I have a mail which has an image and a plain text attachment. When this mail is forwarded as attachment( Edit -> preferences -> composer prefernces -> forward style -> attachment ), everything works fine. (2)When the mail is forwarded inline ( Edit -> preferences -> composer prefernces -> forward style -> inline),then plain-text attachmetn is not visible. But this second scenerio is working fine when i have dot odt file(open office) as attachment instead of plain text file. Same steps i tried for vcs/ics(calendar files) means a mail has this file as attachment and i forwarded it. step (1) everything is fine step (2) VCS/ICS attachment is not visible I performed this in group wise account.
Verified that inline text attachment forwarding is still broken in Evolution 2.9.4 while researching a similar downstream bug report against Evolution 1.4.5 [1]. This is a very old bug! Clearing the NEEDINFO status, since it looks like the requested information was provided in comment #2. [1] http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=126291
This seems working good in current master of evolution 2.33.x. I tried forwarding as inline with text and image file and both delivered to destination successfully. Can you please check it in current stable version and close it if it is working good. Thanks
I cann't reproduce the bug in master (2.91.2)
