Description Johnny Proton 2006-12-03 16:23:26 UTC
I have some encrypted drives that I store personal files on. However, I looked and in my /home/<username>/.thumbnails directory, there are thumbnails from my encrypted drives in there!

This could potentially be a serious security concern.

I have similar concerns about backup and temporary files located on these encrypted drives.

This is related to (duplicate?) Bug 518757, not fixed yet.
Comment 3 Cosimo Cecchi 2012-07-12 13:28:37 UTC
Yes, this would be done automatically for us by the thumbnailer service if we had a solution similar to what is proposed in bug 518757.

Closing as a duplicate of that one, since it has patches and is filed against a better component.
