Description Shaun Crampton 2006-11-25 17:36:49 UTC
I'm using gParted to modify a USB hard disk. The problem is that, for example, when resizing a partition, gnome remounts the partition after one of the stages and subsequent stages then fail.

eg.
(1) gParted umounts
(2) gParted runs fsck
(3) gnome remounts
(4) gParted tries to resize partition and fails, finding the partition already mounted

Turning off GNOMEs automounter is a work-around but it'd be great if gParted could take care of that.

I have the same problem!

Only mine does it with my harddisk! Or rather, it also does it with my harddisk (With Ubuntu 7.04 - didn't have the problem on 6.10!)
