Steps to reproduce:
1. Hit 'g' to go the first unread group
2. Hit 's' to edit a score
3. Hit 'save and rescore'

This is on FC4, running Pan-0.119.

If I start editing a score with no selected article, Pan crashes when I submit the score (close the "edit score" dialog).

Hi Carl, I'm unable to reproduce this, but I've just been mucking around
in the scorefile code for bug 373523.  Could you apply the patch there
to your copy of 0.119 and see if that fixes the problem for you?

If 0.119 + patch still crashes for you, could you get a gdb backtrace?
(see http://pan.rebelbase.com/bugs/ has pan + gdb instructions.)

It doesn't seem to be reproducable when I'm using the version you described (0.119, plus the bug 373523 patch).

Good news, I guess.
