What were you doing when the application crashed?
После установки галочки на пункте: Синхронизировать время с интернет-серверами, Убунту пытался активировать и установить поддержку NTP в результате которой как обычно зависнул. Мне думается данный баг вызван тем что у меня была запущена програма Synaptic
