Description Johan (not receiving bugmail) Dahlin 2006-11-03 12:16:59 UTC
Totem will not display full information about a stream if there is a missing video codec.

Eg, I need to know which kind of codec a stream uses to be able to know which plugin I need to install.

For asf, looking at the "video codec" tag sould be enough.

A test stream which uses WMV 9 can be found here:

Is this with GStreamer or xine-lib?

No information provided in the last 3 months. Please reopen your bug if it was closed in error.
Comment 3 Johan (not receiving bugmail) Dahlin 2007-03-21 13:14:16 UTC
No, I am pretty sure it was with the GStreamer backend.
Comment 4 Tim-Philipp Müller 2007-04-10 10:43:31 UTC
Can reproduce this actually. Looks like a race somewhere.

Comment 5 Bastien Nocera 2008-08-29 11:17:42 UTC
This should be working nowadays, and the original stream doesn't exist anymore. Please reopen if you have another reproducer.
