Please describe the problem:
Pan version 0.116 & 0.117 does not save groups list. Pan keeps downloading the list and does not save it.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Fresh install of Pan 
2. Retrieve groups from server
3. 


Actual results:
Groups do not appear and they will not stop retrieving

Expected results:
Have groups to choose from.

Yes

Other information:
I mentioned 116 & 117 because I backed up a version to see if the earlier version would work. I have been using Pan 0.14.2.91 on a Kubuntu Dapper system.There are 43,985 groups at News Guy and Pan retrieved over 331,00 and was still going,and no groups.
