GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 366478
time zone doesn't change when i close preferences window
Last modified: 2006-11-14 17:35:13 UTC
Please describe the problem: I'm from Serbia(Belgrade). This is a weird behaviour, the time zone 'defaults' to Europe/Sarajevo. What I mean is that even though I select Europe/Belgrade, it goes back to Europe/Sarajevo by itself. It's not the NTP, nor the "synchronize now", I've tried all the possible ways I could think of to bypass the time zone problem, but it goes back to europe/sarajevo Steps to reproduce: 1. Right click on the clock item on gnome panel and select "adjust date&time" 2. Click on "select time zone" button and choose Europe/Belgrade 3. Click Close and Close 4. Right click again on the clock item on gnome panel and select "adjust date&time" Actual results: Europe/Sarajevo remains the default time zone Expected results: Change the time zone from Europe/Sarajevo to Europe/Belgrade and keep it that way (i.e. as default) Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
I'm using Ubuntu Edgy EFT, which doesn't have a root account, but as a normal user i can use sudo. Note that I also tried from terminal: sudo time-admin and: sudo -s time-admin Still the same Version of gnome-system-tools: 2.15.5-0ubuntu2
I've also tried switching to other time zones e.g. american or asian or european, all seem to work, only europe/belgrade when closing time-admin and running it again it shows europe/sarajevo
Seems a duplicate of #354661, recently fixed in CVS, apologies... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 354661 ***
