GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 365617
Search bar too wide minimum size.
Last modified: 2009-06-08 14:13:51 UTC
I use a low resolution (1024x768) and big fonts (12pt). I can't do the sidebar wide enoungh to see the names of my folders (especially subfolders) because the search bar has a minimun width and it can not be shrunk more. I suggest that the search bar shuold be narrower or that it can be hidden. Other information:
Ubuntu bug about that: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/64538
please do not use "Do Not Use"... :-) i can confirm this, iirc we already had discussions about this.
Severity should be increased: * Minor minor loss of function, or other problem where easy workaround is present. There's no workaround, folder tree is nearly useless. *Normal A minor part of the component is nonfunctional or broken. The main window is not a minor part, and it's broken.
Bumping version to a stable release.
Folding this into bug #363680. Allowing the search entry to grow will also allow it to shrink. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 363680 ***
