GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 358014
Aunt Mary redeal count inconstant.
Last modified: 2012-01-31 23:30:08 UTC
Please describe the problem: The sequence shown in the redeal count is 0 then -1 then -2. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select the "Aunt Mary" game in Aisle Riot. 2. Note redeals count is 0. 3. Go through the deck and click for a 'redeal'. Actual results: The redeal counter displays -1 and -2 on the second redeal. It will not allow a third redeal. Expected results: The redeal count should display 2 initially, then 1 and finally 0. Alternatly, it should not allow any redeals. Does this happen every time? Yep. Other information: No.
Created attachment 73511 [details] [review] make Aunt Mary properly disable redeals
Hmm, actually I think I need to disable klondike's options menu. *reads help*
Created attachment 73512 [details] [review] properly set up for 1 card deals, 2 redeals, no extra options Ok, this should actually match wht the help says (rather than comments in the file) and not be broken.
Do you recommend to apply the patch to the 2.16.x branch, as well as CVS HEAD?
Yes. I'm a little confused as to when this broke (I think it happened when the new options were added to klondike), but this should be correct for gnome 2.16. Klondike's options were never meant to show up in Aunt Mary, and what's currently happening (3 card deals and unlimited redeals, with a redeal count that shows up as a negative number) seems to differ from the help and what the source seems to say should happen. Looking at cvs, I think this bug report is accurate/complete, and the game became more broken since 2.14. I'm not sure whether my patch would work right on 2.14.
