Description Dan Engel 2006-09-27 10:42:54 UTC
I tend to leave my mail program running all day (even while I'm away) with automatic POP retrieval enabled. At various times throughout the day, a POP session will fail for one reason or another, but the next session will succeed.

In the event of these spurious failures during background mail fetching, it would be nicer if the failure notification dialog didn't show up. Or rather, if there was a preferences option to supress it.

Of course, when I've done an explicit "Send/Receive," then I wold want a notification of any errors.
