GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 356564
Random crash while not interacting with the panel
Last modified: 2007-02-05 08:10:36 UTC
I was just scrolling in xchat when bug-buddy popped up telling me the clock applet had crashed. Here's the info from the file it saved: This looks kind of like bug 335719, but that was marked duplicate of an x86_64 specific problem (and Daniel seems to be posting that he gets a different stack trace) Memory status: size: 208146432 vsize: 0 resident: 208146432 share: 0 rss: 193122304 rss_rlim: 0 CPU usage: start_time: 1158365142 rtime: 0 utime: 116982 stime: 0 cutime:102045 cstime: 0 timeout: 14937 it_real_value: 0 frequency: 0 Backtrace was generated from '/opt/gnome2/libexec/ClockApplet' Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1". Just got hit by it again; was trying to switch workspaces by clicking on the workspace switcher applet, but may have missed and clicked on the clock applet.
Looks like a bug in either spi or ORBit2.
Got the same basic stack trace, this time triggered from gnome-terminal. My packages are a bit out of date (a month or so, I think), so I'll update them and see if anything was fixed...
