GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 356516
strong/weak cursors should follow keyboard layout direction
Last modified: 2018-02-10 03:28:49 UTC
As GTD can detect direction of active keyboard layout, the caret on the text entries, and its shadow should be colored based on this direction. In other words, if active layout is an RTL layout, the main caret should be the RTL one, and the shadow should be the LTR one.
This is strongly related to bug 73307, about jumping cursor support. If jumping cursor support was working fully, this would be just drawing a shadow for the non-active cursor.
We're moving to gitlab! As part of this move, we are closing bugs that haven't seen activity in more than 5 years. If this issue is still imporant to you and still relevant with GTK+ 3.22 or master, please consider creating a gitlab issue for it.
