Description Rennie deGraaf 2006-09-05 03:31:56 UTC
It appears that gthumb 2.7.7 automatically rotates JPEG images according to EXIF data (?) as it imports them from digital cameras. However, it does not then update the EXIF tags to reflect the new orientation of the JPEG data. This causes the images to display correctly in gthumb (which generally ignores EXIF orientation tags), but not in EXIF-aware image browsers such as gqview.

I suggest that if this auto-rotation functionality is kept, then EXIF tags should be adjusted according to the rotation performed.
