Hi,
in 2.12.0 and earlier versions the init_pygobject_check() macro is broken and breaks PyGTK for example as (2,12,0) was smaller than (2,11,1) because of the last digit with the original version. Attached is a patch that fixes this.

This patch is incorrect, your problem lies somewhere else.

But the bug was already reported...
