Description Chris Lord 2006-09-02 19:22:42 UTC
Please describe the problem:
If you resize the video window so there's a black border around the video (i.e. the window is too large vertically, or horizontally) and you manage to get totem controls to overlap this area, when those controls disappear, that area is not correctly redrawn.

Steps to reproduce:
For example, going into full-screen mode and moving the mouse so the controls appear, when they're meant to disappear, it will appear as if they haven't (assuming the bordered area is enough to fully contain the controls, otherwise it might cut them off, or obscure them completely).

Another example, resize the window so a bordered area appears over the volume button and click the volume button - when you click away from the volume control, the part that intersected with the bordered area will remain.

Last example, in the web-plugin, right click on the video and choose the about dialog. When you close the about dialog, if a part of it intersected with the bordered area, this will not be redrawn.

Actual results:
The bordered area doesn't get cleared to black as it should.

Expected results:
It should be cleared to black.

Does this happen every time?
This doesn't happen if windows of other applications intersect with this area, only windows that are 'owned' by totem.

Other information:
This doesn't happen with totem-gstreamer.
