Description José Carlos García Sogo 2006-08-24 00:20:30 UTC
When you start up beagle-search and then use the mouse wheel in the 'quick
tips' area, you get to another document, namely by scrolling once you get
'beagle cannot be run as root' and then 'search service not running'. The
fourth is the results page which is obviously empty.

After you search for something, you can still access the other pages by
hovering the mouse over the separator of the paned that contains the results
list and the detail view and scrolling with the mouse wheel.

This behaviour suggests to me that internally, there are these four pages
and that they are implemented using a tabbed notebook with hidden tabs.
Somehow, it ought to be possible to disable having it respond to mouse wheel
events, so this isn't possible any longer. Or just use different panes that
are set into place instead of selecting pages of a notebook, I guess.

(this is Debian's bug #369814)
