gnome-panel stuck in endless loop

Distribution: Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS release 4 (Nahant Update 4) Package: gnome-utils Severity: normal Version: GNOME2.8.0 2.8.1 Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: gnome-panel stuck in endless loop Bugzilla-Product: gnome-utils Bugzilla-Component: gdict Bugzilla-Version: 2.8.1 BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.8.0) Description: Description of the crash: I was using gui to drag and drop files into folders and got dialog box "The Application "gnome-panel" has quit unexpectedly. It does not matter if you choose Restart or Close; another dialog box says "I've detected a panel already running and will now exit." Press ok and you get the other dialog box, and so it goes back and forth. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. My description above should cover that, I can't reproduce it, cause I can't stop it! 2. I have tried rebooting and running up2date it still does not stop 3. Expected Results: For the panel to work and stop wasting my time on such a silly problem How often does this happen? Now it does not stop.
