GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 352395
Deleting pictures doesn't work on external disk
Last modified: 2006-09-20 18:11:11 UTC
Ubuntu Edgy Knot1 (daily 22-08-06) 1. Right click on picture in folder on external unit (usb disk in this particular case) 2. Choose "Open with gThumb" 3. Choose "Folders" 4. Choose picture, right click and choose "Move to trash" (or simply press 'delete') 5. Nothing happens Reload doesn't help, neither closing gThumb and opening anew. A problem with showing folders/catalogs on external storage by choosing location from gThumb may be related. When I try to choose my usb disk, I get "Cannot load folder "file:///media/WD%20Passport": File not found".
This might (or might not) be two separate problems. 1) Deletion issue - can you delete the file from Nautilus (i.e., a regular gnome folder)? This sounds like a permissions issue. 2) Cannot load folder - are you trying to open the folder using the "Other..." dialog in the side bar? If so, the space in the folder name is confusing the program. This is bug #352747. Add your comments there. - Mike
I believe this is fixed in CVS. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 344909 ***
