GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 352069
Add de.po German translation
Last modified: 2007-02-01 18:50:59 UTC
Hi, Holger Wansing sent in Debian bug http://bugs.debian.org/379505 a German translation for gst-plugins-base 0.10.9 which I'm going to attach. Bye,
Created attachment 71212 [details] German translation (po/de.po)
Cool, but GStreamer's translations are handled by the Translation Project, so it would be best if you could get in touch with the German team there about this: http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/translation/registry.cgi?team=de (we probably need to document this better somehwere :)).
What's the process? Everyone which wants to add or fix a translation must subscribe to the list for this language? It seems there's one list per language, this doesn't seem to scale very well, at least for me if I need to send further fixes. Perhaps you could setup a separate bugzilla component with subcomponents per language and forward bugs to the various lists?
Thomas, could you comment on this?
FYI, this particular bug forwarded to the German list which I've subscribed to.
FYI: my message went to the list, and no reply until now, and the po isn't in your CVS (other threads did get a reply though).
Was unsuccessful in getting any clarification on this issue as well. Tried both repeatedly poking people on IRC and sending a request to the mailing list in January [0]. Still don't really know how it's supposed to work, or why the translation project thinks we're still in 0.9.x versions, but I don't think committing a new translation interfers with the way the translation project works anyway, so I've committed it: 2007-02-01 Tim-Philipp Müller <tim at centricular dot net> Patch by: Holger Wansing <linux wansing-online de> * po/LINGUAS: * po/de.po: Add German translation (#352069). Maybe one day someone in the know will find time to comment. [0] http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.gstreamer.devel/17119/
