GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 351668
crash on Camorama webcamprogramma

What were you doing when the application crashed? mirroring the image Distribution: Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy) Gnome Release: 2.15.91 2006-08-08 (Ubuntu) BugBuddy Version: 2.15.90 Memory status: size: 36392960 vsize: 0 resident: 36392960 share: 0 rss: 12836864 rss_rlim: 0 CPU usage: start_time: 1155759804 rtime: 0 utime: 73 stime: 0 cutime:69 cstime: 0 timeout: 4 it_real_value: 0 frequency: 0 Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/camorama' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Can you get us one with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so.
I did my best in following the instructions on http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces I installed the -dbg packages of important libs, but this isn't enough. Ubuntu doesn't have a -dbg package for this app, so I hope this is more helpfull, but I guess it isn't. I'll try to make some time after I passed my exams ;) Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/camorama' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". Do you have those for libgnome and libgnomeui?
apt-cache policy libgnomeui-0-dbg libgnomeui-0-dbg: Geïnstalleerd: 2.15.91-0ubuntu2 Kandidaat: 2.15.91-0ubuntu2 Versietabel: *** 2.15.91-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://be.archive.ubuntu.com edgy/main Packages (sorry for the Dutch thingies in between...) for libgnome there exists no -dbg package it seems If someone can point me such one, I'll install it, and redo a trace
I'll reopen this so it doesn't rot in NEEDINFO, perhaps the mainteinters of Camorama have better advice!
Turns out this is a duplicate! Thanks for filing it and being quick to respond! Please keep filing any other bugs you might find! *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 156333 ***
