Description Craig Keogh 2006-08-06 07:33:07 UTC
If I am correct, fam support in nautilus is optional. With fam, you get immediate updates. Without it, you have to hit refresh.

Create an empty file with nautilus using right click menu. Nothing appears. Nautilus should display an icon for the new file, but doesn't. Close the window and reopen. Now there is a file called 'new file'.

My gnome-vfs was built without fam support. When I build with fam support, nautilus works as expected.

If fam support is _not_ optional, close this bug. A new bug should opened to check for gnome-vfs with fam support.

I am using cvs version of nautilus, built with jhbuild.
