Hi, this bug was originally reported at https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/ekiga/+bug/47717 

The sip:500@ekiga.net test number isn't discoverable. The address bar could be pre-populated with this number (or perhaps an alias to it e.g. sip:hello@ekiga.net)

Indeed ; or typing "test" in the url bar could do the trick.
