GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 348443
ssh with nautilus
Last modified: 2010-07-06 21:09:02 UTC
From: Chris L <good_bye300@yahoo.com> To: submit@bugs.gnome.org X-Mailer: bug-buddy 2.14.0 Subject: ssh with nautilus Distribution: Ubuntu 6.06 (dapper) Package: nautilus Severity: Normal Version: GNOME2.14.1 2.14.x Gnome-Distributor: Ubuntu Synopsis: ssh with nautilus Bugzilla-Product: nautilus Bugzilla-Component: Accessibility Bugzilla-Version: 2.14.x BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.14.1) Description: Description of the crash: An error message comes up saying Nautilus has crashed, but it hasn't. This is the second time it happened. It happens when using ssh in Nautilus to connect to a server, and copying a directory from the server to the local computer in another instance of Nautilus. The error pop up has went blank, so I cannot read it. Steps to reproduce the crash: 1. Go to Places menu in Gnome. Then go to Connect to server. Connect to a server using ssh. 2. Open another Nautilus window of the home directory on the local computer. 3. Try to copy a directory from the remote computer to the local computer. Expected Results: An error pop up comes up giving three options: restart application, quit application, inform developers. How often does this happen? It has happened to me twice. Additional Information: Debugging Information: Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/nautilus' (no debugging symbols found) Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/i686/cmov/libthread_db.so.1". Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Can you get us one with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so.
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 338970 ***
