The Gimp, after reopening, should remember the last folder I saved to. Saved folders history would come handy as well.

Remembering last used file type would be also good.

John, I hereby ask you to stop filing any bug reports whatsoever. You are only causing work and wasting our time. Please write a mail to the list if you think you found a problem, that will at least allow someone to point you to existing bug reports or documentation.
